A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a few functions, but it’s exceptionally easy to work with, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be shown in this section alphabetically and you’ll just have to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the concrete email address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and takes one more mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated effortlessly in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a small symbol handily located directly next to each of them. With just one single mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the context menu that will come into view. If any of the conditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
